DAVID Warner has been dragged into another twitter controversy after his brother Steven abused Shane Watson on twitter.
"F***ing selfish Watson sooner your (sic) out if (sic) the side you great pretender the better," Steve Warner tweeted only minutes after Watson unsuccessfully reviewed his dismissal leg before wicket in Australia's first innings.
He has since deleted his twitter account Warnedog79.
Watson had been at the centre of claims by sacked coach Mickey Arthur in his wrongly dismissal dispute with Cricket Australia.
Leaked documents claimed that Watson resisted attempts at team discipline and that captain Michael Clarke described his former vice-captain as a "cancer in the team."
Last month David Warner was charged with bringing the game into disrepute and fined $5750 after an expletive-laden twitter rant against two cricket journalists.
Steven Warner, 33, is considered even more wayward than his younger brother.
In another tweet he described Arthur as an "escape goat" following the coach's dismissal.
Steven was a NSW under-17 representative who toured England in 1996, but walked away from cricket at the time.
He is a plumber by trade now working as a baggage handler with Virgin Australia.
The brothers both played for the Eastern Suburbs cricket club but walked out after becoming embroiled in a political power play at the club.
David is currently playing with Australia A in southern Africa after being suspended for a month earlier in the Ashes tour after punching England's Joe Root in a Birmingham bar at 2.30am during the Champions Trophy last month.
Warner failed twice in a just completed match against a Zimbabwe XI and has a four-day game against South Africa A before rejoining the Ashes squad during a tour game against Sussex that begins on Friday.
